# Interface: RateLimitEvent

> Generated from the public TypeScript API.

Emitted when a provider rate-limits a request. `retryAfterSeconds` is the
parsed retry-after header when present, otherwise the backoff delay the
server chose; it is absent when the provider marked the error
non-retryable (the run then fails without retrying).
